Over the centuries the Church celebrates the feast of St Agnes, Virgin and Martyr, on which the Pope blesses two lambs which their wool will be used for palliums given to the metropolitans archbishops on the feast of St Peter and Paul.

Agnes means "lamb" which also associated with this tradition of the pallium.

The Parishioners of St Agnes celebrate the feast of St Agnes on Friday evening 22nd January 2016.
